Take the Challenge! David Schlueter, Fitness Director W e are in the middle of our final season before construction begins on our exciting Sports and Wellness Center. Our goal, as a fitness team is to continue to create positive momentum in these months leading into our temporary facilities, and in doing so, we have some exciting events to kick off the new year. Sunset Yoga with Georgie and Jeannette at our sports field. Smoothies and other treats will be provided. The following week, Thursday January 9, we will hold Walk, Wine and Whiskey at 5:00 p.m. This is a nice stroll through Boca Grove’s beautiful grounds, with stations of assorted wines and whiskey. This is also a great way to build community and meet new people. In February, keep your eyes peeled for more wellness lectures and an aqua demo by our own Babette Altman, who will share her knowledge of aquatic training, which has proven rehabilitative properties and improves performance in golf, tennis and all-around health. Moving into March we will have our month-long March Madness competition. Last year we divided everyone into two teams for daily work outs, sunset yoga and group circuit trainings. This year we will look to build off of last year’s success with even more fun, and of course, some surprises. It is my privilege, as well as the rest of the fitness staff, to assist in creating a healthy and strong sense of community. Walk, Wine &Whiskey
