I t’s hard to believe that winter is already over, and temperatures are heating up again but of course there’s no surprises there and there are also no surprises that tennis will continue to thump along right throughout the summer. The current ladies 2b team goes right till May, and as far as both queens and princess divisions we have just signed up for spring leagues that run till early summer followed with a summer league now in the process of being scheduled. Were also excited about hosting a National level tournament in the end of April where the best players in the country that will be competing with high caliber tennis. Also ,our holiday events will continue like our annual battle of the clubs with Woodfield and now having more mixed doubles nights as well which will help with the heat. There’s also a junior event every month now. It is crazy how busy Pickleball seems to be growing it’s been challenging just to keep up with getting crowds of 13 to 16 people at one showing. Keep in mind with just two courts we can accommodate 8 players. The buzz is out and the popularity is exploding. In my country club travels, clubs are either adding more courts or building brand new pickleball facilities at their community’s. This sport is here to stay and still growing! Look for our monthly intros to pickleball at no charge to attend.
